Capgemini is seeking an Experience Designer to create human-centered, data-driven, and AI-ready services and products. You’ll work across complex ecosystems, balancing user needs, business goals, and technology constraints, translating research into evidence-based design and shaping end-to-end delivery. The role combines hands-on design work with mentoring, workshops, and stakeholder alignment to unlock measurable business value and broaden the impact of design across industries and government. Capgemini emphasizes inclusion, wellbeing, and a hybrid-working environment.

About the job you’re considering

We’re building the next generation of design at Capgemini. As an Experience Designer in our team, you’ll create services and products that are human-centred, data-driven, and AI-ready. You’ll work across complex ecosystems, balancing user needs, business goals, and technology constraints to deliver meaningful outcomes.

We’re looking for designers who thrive in ambiguity, bring clarity through evidence, and turn ideas into impact. Above all, you’re passionate about how design — combined with data and AI — can create fairer, more inclusive, and more sustainable services.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll shape delivery, mentor others, and grow the impact of design across industries and government.

Your role

You’re both a designer and a consultant: confident driving conversations, solving problems, and shaping direction for the best outcomes. You understand that design doesn’t live in isolation — it must connect with business strategy and deliver measurable value.
You’ll already be confident in running end-to-end design activities, while showing the ability — or ambition — to guide others and influence direction.
What you'll do:
•Design and present concepts, journeys, and interfaces, including information architecture, navigation, and flows.
•Translate research and user needs into evidence-based, inclusive design approaches.
•Prototype ideas (from rapid sketches to interactive and coded) to test and validate concepts.
•Facilitate workshops and align direction across business, technology, and delivery teams.
•Spot opportunities to create business value and improve the user experience.

You can bring your whole self to work. At Capgemini building an inclusive future is part of everyday life and will be part of your working reality. We have built a representative and welcoming environment, for everyone.

Your skills and experience

Skills you’ll need:
•Ability to link design decisions to measurable business outcomes (e.g. efficiency, revenue, engagement).
•Confidence in framing design as a driver of business strategy, not just delivery.
•Experience building consensus around design vision across business, technology, and leadership stakeholders.
•Experience in user-centred design from discovery to delivery (public sector / GDS experience a plus). and strong prototyping skills across different fidelities (paper, digital, coded).
•Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design and proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or InVision.

Bonus skills:
•Experience mentoring or leading teams.
•Ability to connect design with measurable business outcomes.
•Passion for continuous learning and contributing to design culture.

We are hiring for mid-level and senior positions. Whether you have been working as part of a small team or leading large or complex engagements, we have the role for you. Potential is also just as important to us as having the required skills.

Working at Capgemini will give you opportunities to deliver genuine value to our clients and society. We are committed to achieving these objectives while maintaining a healthy work-life balance and cultivating a positive work environment.

We are a Disability Confident Employer

Capgemini is proud to be a Disability Confident Employer (Level 2) under the UK Government’s Disability Confident scheme.
As part of our commitment to inclusive recruitment, we will offer an interview to all candidates who:

Please opt in during the application process

There are no nationality or residency restrictions, although if you have resided outside of the UK within the last 3 years, further checks may be required.

There are other criteria and check required for BPSS, and throughout the recruitment process, you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as, but not limited to, country of residence and nationality.
