Role
As an intern, you will support the team in delivering exceptional client service and executing complex transactions. This role offers exposure to the dynamic real estate market and the opportunity to develop analytical, financial, and client-facing skills in a fast-paced environment.

Who are we?
At ING, we’re transforming the way infrastructure and data work together to power a smarter, faster, more data-driven bank. InfraPort serving as the data broker for our infrastructure data and our API offering is already the central nervous system of our cloud infrastructure, delivering critical data and insights across the bank.

Now, we’re taking the next step — building a Data Management Tool from the ground up. This tool will automate ETL processes, strengthen governance, and unlock advanced capabilities like LLM-powered data handling. With a small, agile, and expert team across the Netherlands Poland and Romania, you’ll have the chance to make a real impact from day one.

Key Responsibilities

As a UX Designer, you will:

  • Design a best-in-class user experience for DMS, with a strong focus on clarity, efficiency, and trust.

  • Translate analyst needs into intuitive interfaces, including wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs.

  • Collaborate closely with Product Manager, Engineers, and Analysts to ensure the design is both high usability and technically feasible.

  • Support visual/graphic design when needed (e.g., UI polish, iconography, dashboards, and product visuals).

How to succeed

We hire smart people like you for your potential. Our biggest expectation is that you’ll stay curious. Keep learning. Take on responsibility. In return, we’ll back you to develop into an even more awesome version of yourself.

The following skills and experience will be needed to succeed in this role:

  • Getting things done: you deliver high‑quality results

  • Taking initiative: you act autonomously and spot opportunities to improve things

  • User-centric mindset: Able to clarify and translate user’s need into best-in-class UX flow and user interface.

  • Strong collaborator:Able to work closely with Product Manager, Engineers and Data Analysts to ensure the design is both high usability and technically feasible.

  • Tech savvy:Have a basic understanding about how software works behind the scene (API, data pipeline, performance constrains)

Above all: you’re enthusiastic, action‑oriented, and eager to learn.

Rewards and benefits

This is a great opportunity to train with highly skilled people who are experts in their field. You’ll do a lot and learn a lot – not only about your specialist area and the bank, but also about yourself and whether this type of environment is right for you.

You’ll also benefit from:

  • Internship allowance of 700 EUR based on a 36 hours work week

  • Your own work laptop

  • Hybrid workingto blend home working for focus and office working for collaboration and co-creation

  • Personal growth and challenging work with endless possibilities

  • A people‑focused, informal, and supportive work culture

  • A fun working environment with innovative colleagues

To apply, you must be enrolled at a Dutch university (or EU university for EU passport holders).
