User Experience Researcher focused on internal developer products within Macquarie's Banking and Financial Services division. You will apply foundational user research methods to uncover root causes and opportunities to improve the developer journey, partnering with the Product Manager for AI in SDLC Strategy. Through interviews, observation, and analysis, you will translate insights into actionable recommendations to uplift tools, processes, and systems across the Software Delivery Lifecycle. This permanent, full-time role is based in Sydney with potential for other office locations.

- Proven experience in planning and conducting foundational user research, with a focus on discovering the root causes of issues and deeper user insights to inform strategy
- A genuine passion for highly collaborative work, including co-creating research plans, brainstorming, and partnering closely with your manager and peers to refine ideas
- Excellent analytical and synthesis skills, with the ability to translate complex qualitative data into clear, actionable insights
- Experience in structuring research insights in a repository and clearly communicating your findings to your team and direct stakeholders
- A high-level understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and, crucially, a strong desire for continuous learning and the ability to learn from subject matter experts
- An open and curious mindset, with a desire to give and receive constructive feedback to elevate the quality of the team's research.
