What role will you play?

As a User Experience Researcher, you will apply your classic user research skills to a unique and impactful domain, our internal developer products and processes for engineers in Banking and Financial Services division. You will be a champion for our engineering community, focusing on understanding their world to make it better. You will partner directly with the Product Manager for AI in Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) Strategy to conduct foundational research that looks beyond surface-level issues. You will dig deep to find the root causes of friction and uncover insights into the developer journey to inform our strategy. Through interviews, observation, and analysis, you will help us understand what a truly great engineering experience looks like and identify the key opportunities to make it a reality.

  • Proven experience in planning and conducting foundational user research, with a focus on discovering the root causes of issues and deeper user insights to inform strategy
  • A genuine passion for highly collaborative work, including co-creating research plans, brainstorming, and partnering closely with your manager and peers to refine ideas
  • Excellent analytical and synthesis skills, with the ability to translate complex qualitative data into clear, actionable insights
  • Experience in structuring research insights in a repository and clearly communicating your findings to your team and direct stakeholders
  • A high-level understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and, crucially, a strong desire for continuous learning and the ability to learn from subject matter experts
  • An open and curious mindset, with a desire to give and receive constructive feedback to elevate the quality of the team's research.
