Product Designer II to own end-to-end experiences for Microsoft Teams CMDI, including the AI & Copilot charter. Design polished, high-fidelity UI in Figma, craft pixel-perfect layouts, and build interactive prototypes to help stakeholders feel the product before it's built. Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and researchers to advance the design language, contribute to critiques, and evolve systems and patterns. This role requires 3+ years in product or service design and a strong visual craft.

Overview

Ready to design the future of communication and collaboration?

We're looking for a bold, energetic Product Designer II with an exceptional eye for visual craft to create the next generation of experiences for Microsoft Teams. While we are leading the way in AI, this role is about more than just technology, it’s about human connection. We need a designer who can turn complex workflows into elegant, simple, and aesthetically stunning products that millions of people will love using every day.

You’ll be joining the growing design team at Teams CMDI (Calling, Devices, and Premium Experiences). You will own the end-to-end journey for key product areas, including our AI & Copilot charter, ensuring that every interaction is not only functional but visually polished and cohesive. You’ll use your UX and visual-design expertise to collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and researchers to foster a growth mindset and push the boundaries of what’s possible in collaboration.

If you thrive in ambiguity, love to learn, and want your work to shape the next era of how the world works together - we want to hear from you.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

Responsibilities
  • Design end-to-end experiences that marry deep functional UX with high-end visual execution.
  • Elevate the visual bar by creating polished, high-fidelity UI that is as beautiful as it is usable, ensuring every pixel serves a purpose.
  • Leverage Figma with expert precision to craft pixel-perfect, component-driven layouts and sophisticated interaction flows.
  • Prototype with purpose, building high-fidelity interactive models that help partners and stakeholders "feel" the product before it’s built.
  • Contribute to design critiques, evolve our systems and patterns, and help shape the future of the Microsoft Teams design language.
  • Collaborate across disciplines in agile, cross-functional teams to bridge the gap between AI intelligence and human-centric design.
  • Advocate for our users at every step with clear storytelling, elegant documentation, and a strong sense of design purpose.
  • Bring energy, curiosity, and heart to our growing design culture.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Human Computer Interaction, User Experience, Interaction Design, or related field AND 3+ years experience working in product or service design
    • OR equivalent experience (e.g., demonstrated experience working in product or service design or using design thinking to solve problems).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exceptional visual design skills, including a deep understanding of typography, color, layout, and grid systems.
  • Solid communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a bias for action.
  • Mastery of Figma and modern prototyping tools.
  • Comfortable working in agile teams and adapting quickly to new challenges.
  • 2+ years experience shipping products, services, or games and/or delivering to customers as a result of an end-to-end design process.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates elite craft, showing smart, elegant end-to-end work—from initial concept to final, polished execution.
  • Experience designing for enterprise tools, collaboration platforms, or complex software ecosystems.
  • Familiarity with conversational experiences, AI agents, or LLM-driven features.
