We are seeking a Head of Product Design – Offshore Trading to lead and elevate the Offshore exchange experience, shaping the design strategy, user experience, and innovation for Offshore trading products. You will lead a global design team, collaborating with the Global Head of Design, product, engineering, growth, analytics, and regional market leads to translate business goals into measurable product design outcomes, and scale the design function across regions. You’ll own the end-to-end user journey for web and mobile experiences, simplifying complex financial concepts into intuitive interfaces, using a test/learn/iterate approach and advocating for design at executive levels to influence roadmaps and business decisions.

About The Opportunity

We are seeking a Head of Product Design – Offshore Trading to lead and elevate the Offshore exchange experience for our users. This role is pivotal in shaping the design strategy, user experience, and innovation for our Offshore trading products, ensuring a seamless, intuitive, and personalized trading environment. You are passionately committed to user-centered design that translates into flawless execution. You will craft a visually sophisticated experience while implementing a test/learn/iterate approach based on insight and data.

You’ll lead a global design team, collaborating closely with our Global Head of Design, product, engineering, growth, analytics, and regional market leads to translate business goals into measurable product design outcomes. You will be responsible for scaling and evolving the design function, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring our Offshore market’s user experience address the needs of our global audience.

What You’ll Do

Define and own the design strategy for Offshore exchange & product lines: trading workflows, fiat/crypto on-off ramps, wallet interactions, liquidity features, advanced trader tools.
Lead and scale the design function globally — hire, mentor and grow senior/mid/junior designers, build team structure, career paths and design culture across regions.
Establish high-impact design systems, frameworks and processes that support rapid iteration, localisation and consistency across markets.
Own the end-to-end user journey for key experiences (web and mobile) — from problem definition, user research, prototyping, interaction & visual design, to hand-off and post-launch iteration.
Simplify complex financial/trading concepts into intuitive experiences — catering to both retail users and advanced/pro-trader segments.
Partner closely with product, engineering, compliance/legals and regional teams to balance user needs, technical feasibility, regulatory constraints and market-specific localisation.
Advocate for design at executive levels — present design direction, build alignment, influence product roadmaps and business decisions.
Utilize user research, data-driven insights, and design methodologies to drive product improvements and enhance the user experience.
Provide thought leadership in product design, ensuring OKX remains at the forefront of innovation in the crypto space.
Scale the design function effectively to support growth while maintaining high standards of design excellence.

What We Look For In You

10+ years of experience in design leadership and management, with a track record of building and scaling teams.
Extensive experience designing for financial products, preferably in trading, and fintech.
Strong ability to hire, mentor, and retain top design talent, fostering a culture of excellence.
Deep understanding of human-centered design principles and a passion for delivering exceptional user experiences.
Expertise in breaking down complex financial products into intuitive, user-friendly designs.
Multi-disciplined leader who builds, develops, and advances high performing teams with strong development and domain capability, analytical, strategic, and operational excellence
Proven track record of working in fast-paced environments, managing multiple dependencies, and prioritizing tasks independently.
Hands-on, "roll up your sleeves" mindset, with the ability to be a driver and change agent in an organization.
Passionate for innovation and staying ahead of industry trends, emerging product technologies and advancements.
Experience collaborating with PMs, Engineers, Legal, and Compliance to ensure design solutions meet all business and regulatory needs.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to advocate for design decisions persuasively.
Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Web Design, or equivalent experience.

Must Haves

Experience in Fintech or Crypto industries.
Background in working with global teams across multiple time zones.
Bilingual
