Join SAP's global SAP Internship Experience Program as an iXp Intern in Design Practice & Special Projects within the Consumer Industries. This paid, 6-month internship (40 hours/week) is hybrid in Newport Beach, focusing on UX design, research, and team operations. You will support the design team with workshops, timelines, research recruitment, and creating mockups and prototypes, plus contribute to internal and external video projects. You’ll collaborate with UX designers, product managers, engineers, and business experts across SAP’s global teams, gaining exposure to how design, product, and engineering work together.

The SAP Internship Experience Program is SAP’s global, strategic, paid internship program that provides university students with opportunities to find purpose in their careers. This is more than an internship; it’s the foundation for a career built on connection, creativity, and impact.

 

Position title: SAP iXp Intern - Design Practice & Special Projects, Consumer Industries

Location: Hybrid - Newport Beach

Expected Start: March/April 2026 

Duration: 6 Months (Potential for extension) 

Schedule: 40 HR/week 

 

  • Support the design team’s day-to-day work such as setting up workshops, planning team building activities, PowerPoint presentations, and maintaining wiki pages

  • Help develop project timelines, track progress, and ensure deadlines are met

  • Support user research efforts with recruiting and payment of participants, helping with research plans, analysis and synthesis, assisting with maintenance of research artifacts and adherence to standard formats  and frameworks

  • Assist team members with mockups and design prototypes from low to high fidelity as needed

  • Support video creation for internal and external projects, such as product pitch videos, enablement sessions, and concept explaners

  • Pursuing or a recent graduate of a college degree program, our program can hire within 6 months after graduation

  • Ability to show examples of your work in the interview process whether via a portfolio or other type of presentation

  • Proactive self-starter that can navigate through ambiguity

  • Solid organizational, analytical and time management skills

  • Experience with modern design tools such as Figma and Mural

  • Understanding of user experience design, user research and synthesis methodologies

  • Ablity to work a hybrid schedule in the office three days a week

Consumer Industries is hiring an Intern to assist with various special projects to help keep the entire UX team running smoothly.  The intern will be a member of the user experience team working on a variety of projects across ux design, ux research and team operations. We are looking for someone that takes initiative and has strong organizational skills. This is a hybrid role, spending three days a week in our beautiful Newport Beach, CA office collaborating with our team.

You will have the opportunity to partner closely with other UX designers, product managers, engineers, and business experts across the various life cycles of products.  You’ll collaborate with multi-disciplinary team members around the world and get exposure to other product areas in SAP. You will gain experience inside a global enterprise product organization, how design works with product & engineering.
