Why we started W3BWAVE

The impact of crypto on trading has been both profound and multifaceted and we expect it to reshape traditional financial markets with unprecedented speed. As this space evolves, we want to ensure that the next wave of talent looking to develop careers in trading or technology is properly equipped to understand this fast-changing world and its full potential, which is why Flow Traders, Deribit and Bitvavo have launched the Netherlands first dedicated Crypto talent pool - W3BWAVE.

Currently, there are no studies or associations in the Netherlands focused on digital assets or crypto. Therefore, as three leading firms in the space, we want to bring this cutting-edge financial development to the student population.

What can you expect when you join the Talent Pool?  

• Discover trading on centralized exchanges, decentralized exchanges and other DeFi activities, ETP trading, Options trading and Quantitative Research in the digital assets space
• Learn about the emerging technologies powering crypto and decentralization
• Learn about applying low latency trading techniques in crypto trading and overcoming some of the hardest technical challenges in the industry
• Connect with other students who are passionate about crypto and start building your network in the digital asset space in the Netherlands
• Learn about a wide range of crypto currencies and derivatives, such as futures and options, and about the implementation of blockchain
• Gain insights into the various projects required for the development of a centralized cryptocurrency exchange
• Understand what it takes to ensure the security of an exchange, client assets, and data in the crypto space
• Learn about how new tools and frameworks are being developed based on regulatory, custody and security (ISO 27001, SOC II) requirements

What do we expect of you?

• Recently graduated or currently studying STEM or Computer Science
• Be able to demonstrate a passion or interest in digital assets and/or crypto
